Can I pay child support to my child directly?

It is uncommon and out of the ordinary for a parent to pay Table child support directly to his/her child.
As the Court reasoned in Strecko v. Strecko, 2013 NSSC 49:

“The policy basis for the Court's reluctance is a desire to avoid involving children in this issue and the accompanying conflict and the need for the parent incurring the expense relating to rearing a child to receive a contribution from the other parent.

I agree that the Court must be reluctant to order child support to be paid to the child, given that the child support payments are to meet some of the parenting costs of the payee parent and associated with the child."

It is to be noted that in the case of MacEachern v. MacLeod, 2014 NSSC 238 Justice ruled that the father could pay section 7 child support expenses directly to the relevant university and/or the child.
